Gust of Gametes – Heather Komus

Gust of Gametes investigates plant and human reproduction and the power of the small or invisible. The closer we look at the natural world, space and meaning seem to expand, as we sift through layer upon infinite layer of detail. Viewing something up close challenges our preconceived notions and associations of that thing: delicate plants are as hairy as mammals; clouds are communities of bacteria, fungi and spores. Gust of Gametes explores pollination, the surprising similarities between different organisms and the connections between all forms of life.
